The last day on planet earth

I thought the Rapture was a wash, but a certifiable christian i know assures me they have till night to still have a chance.  She also said minor children are going to be included, because they lack the capacity to make choices of this magnitude. She could not clarify if all children are going to be raptured, or just those of believers.

After such a weighty discussion, we had a pitcher of margaritias and saw the movie, Bridesmaids. It was very funny, very sad, touching and silly! We both agreed it would be an important movie for our teenage daughters to see, BUT...... two brief sex (nothing explicit) scenes. I don't think they are enough to not take her. She probably wants to see that stuff less then i want her to (specially with me there). A good reminder that life is not a destination that you arrive at and then remain at that point, or that life is something that happens TO you.

Very content today...sun is back, windows are open, and the shed is cleaned (not house clean, but...) and organized.  the grass seed i planted and worried about is growing (i am quite lazy and was agitated at the thought of the work and time i put in raking up moss, seeding and worrying be wasted. and worse, having to be done again.

Kyle turned over two stumps in the front yard that I was sure would be there long after I was gone. under one was a large, fat grub!!!! it filled my soul with disgust and a bad case of the willies.  I jokingly told Lys to come and get it and put in out on the walkway for the skunks to eat. Surprisingly, she agreed! BUT when she picked it up, she claims it made a little noise, and now she was unable to participate in its death. SO, she took it across the street and buried it. Have mixed feelings:)
